Good luck to them all. Every day you have to move furniture is a day you
don't have to run treadmill. As usual, energy is conserved. What energy
expended carrying up is regained carrying down. Tell that to my aching

A couple of my friends are finishing ring dikes around their home but the
water hasn't reached the bottom of these dikes yet. Both have generators,
gas, and multiple pumps in sump holes behind their dikes. This will be
their third fight in 12 years so they are both experienced, well equipped,
and ready to sell their property to the first sucker that comes along.

You bet. A guy I know works construction, 12-hour days. He's built like a
brick, but admits he's exhausted. His wife keeps inviting him to go jogging
when he gets home in the evening. He refuses to do so. I hope her feelings
aren't hurt.

I know what you mean about an exciting life. This morning I disassembled
the frozen motor from a buddies cement mixer, removed all the rust from both
the stator and rotor, reassembled the motor and it now runs smoothly.

Thanks, Joel. Tim, remembering the Red River crest moves northward, you can
start by clicking on the dot that says eastern north Dakota grand forks to
get a detailed map of the Red River valley. Then work northward from

That's an extremely useful tool. It shows where we're having moderate
warnings, too, in the rivers on the west side of lower Michigan. The Grand
River always floods, as do the Muskegon and Manistee. We haven't had much
snow this winter, less than 100 inches (last year 180), so I don't expect
